Jill Stuart Jelly Eye Color and Lip Blossom

Published on by Riame

Hi guys! I wanted to review my Jill Stuart products that i got from my Japan trip awhile ago. Jill Stuart is super popular in Japan and i think one of their main attributes is the packaging. The packaging is gorgeous and so 'princess-like'. I bought the Jelly Eye Colour N in 02 Gold Light and the Lip Blossom in 04 Petit Cherry.

The packaging definitely caught my eye... it looks really fancy.

So the Jelly Eye Color N is a jelly-type of glitter eyeshadow. It feels like a mix between mousse and jelly pudding which is kind of strange. I quite like glitter on my eyes so i bought a neutral colour, a shimmery light gold. The product smells really good, like flowers. It has really good glitter pay-off and a little goes a long way. The bad thing about this is that you get it all over your finger and if you touch anything, glitter goes onto it. I've had alot of cases where i only wanted glitter on my inner corners but since some got on the side of my finger, it went under my eyelid and it just looked like i had a bit of glitter everywhere. I would recommend using a q-tip to apply the jelly but the best payoff is when you use your fingers. It's not that hygienic since you have to stick your finger in the pot everytime you use it. The product itself is really interesting and i quite like it so i'd recommend giving this a try if you love pretty packaging and glitter.

Next up is the Lip Blossom. Once again packaging is on point. So girly and pretty. I got Petit Cherry 04 and i would say this is a peachy pink. It's really moisturising and creamy but not that pigmented. The pigmentation isn't bad but since the colour is a bit sheer and a little bit glittery, it just gives a more natural effect (sort of like a my lips but better). I probably won't buy the lipstick with this packaging again but maybe if there's one with different packaging, i'll get it. I feel Jilly Stuart produces okay makeup products, not bad but not the best. I guess most people buy it for the packaging but in my opinion that's a good enough excuse to get it :P

Peachy pink colour, semi sheer and has a bit of glitter. (glitter isn't too obvious)
